After waiting anxiously for my iPhone X 256Gb, I finally received it yesterday. It was a surprise because I was supposed to receive it between 28th Nov to 3rd Dec but out of nowhere I received an e-mail from Apple informing that my order is shipped and its on its way to me and I will receive it tomorrow. That's amazing and thank Apple for the lovely surprise.

Last night I setup everything. FaceID is actually very good. It is not as slow as people make it out to be. It is very smooth and actually unlocks the phone as soon as I raise the phone to use it.

The size of the phone is just perfect because I use to like the smaller phones but wanted a bigger screen. This is the right balance until something bigger comes along next year.

The phone feels a bit heavy compared to the previous iPhones, but I guess it is a solid build and that makes the phone feel alot more special.

The speed is slightly faster than the iPhone 7 Plus which I had previously but not by much. I don't play many games so as a daily driver it doesn't seem that much faster. However, I am loving the display quality. Apple should have released OLED phones before.

I haven't had much time to use every feature because I spent time setting up accounts and transferring data to my new phone. I will get a better feel of the phone as the days go by.

I am not too bothered about the notch but yes, at first I thought it would be a problem but since I am aware of it now I am trying to adjust to it being there. Hope Apple can get a solution for it in next year's phones.

Since I wanted to get a clear case to show off the silver stainless steel frame around the phone. I decided to get the Power Support Air Jacket Clear Case. It is fantastic and in my opinion, its the best clear case to get for the iPhone X.

You can get all the info about the case here:

https://www.powersupportintl.com/air-jacket-for-iphone-x-clear/

It seems that the company has improved their cases as it is easier to remove this time around.

I also got the iMos 3D Full Screen Protector. This is the best screen protector for the iPhone X. Amazing quality. Its made of Coring Glass.

Not sure if your trolling or not. You could’ve just posted the first paragraph and been good. Instead, you went on about ordering and reselling 3 other phones. Was this to flame those who haven’t received their one phone they ordered? Maybe I’m taking this the wrong way.

I’m confused. Are you reviewing the phone in any way or just talking about the case/screen protector you bought for it? Or is this a romantic scalper-turned-iPhone-lover story?

I’m not quite following.

Wow, you people are super aggro on here to random strangers. Let a guy who is excited because of his new iPhone X do a stream of consciousness essay into the interwebs, alright? Nothing wrong with that.

On another note your case + screen protector is pretty dope, it provides a pretty good level of protection while also showing off the design of the device. I'm a fan.

Thanks. Finally some positive reply. I thought I committed a crime for posting my experience. Admit I went overboard a bit but I edited my posted thinking I was wrong.

Anyway, apart for the case and screen protector I also received my Suede Jacket which I ordered from Waterfield (SFBags). Its just perfect.

Its not their fault. I should have stuck to my main topic but went a bit overboard. I apologize for that.
[doublepost=1511338109][/doublepost]The suede jacket helps to wipe the screen and the back of the Air Jacket case when I insert and remove it from the pouch. This is my second sleeve jacket. Last year I bought one for the iPHone 7 Plus but that was blue in color. This time it is black.
[doublepost=1511338278][/doublepost]I need some help though. Can someone help.

Usually when I get a new iPHone I set it up as a new phone and don't restore my apps from previous backup. I usually go to the app store and check out previously installed apps and stuff. I am unable to find that in the App store? Can someone guide me please?

I updated to the latest firmware ioS 11.1.2 yesterday. Hope this will not be a problem for future jailbreak opportunity.

By the way, wireless fast charging is not enabled with the current release firmware right?

I watched on youtube where it mentioned that wireless fast charging may only be supported by Apple approved chargers. How about 3rd Party wireless chargers like the new Spigen Wireless Charger?

https://www.spigen.com/collections/qi-charging/products/f303w-wireless-fast-charger

It supports 9V output.

Which wireless charger are you using? Do you leave your phone on the wireless charger all the time when not using the phone?

Today I picked up a new wireless charger. It is from Spigen and supports Fast Wireless Charging.

The manual says that it only supports fast charging with QC 2.0 or 3.0 adapter. Otherwise it will charge at normal speed.

I wanted a charger which will sit up vertically and this one looked nice.

Just wondering what the bundled pad is for.

It says in the manual that it is for positioning the phone. Not sure if it is for just placing it comfortable on the pad or for having the phone placed higher or something. Any ideas?

I see you have a Galaxy s8 in the reflection of one the pics. How is the iPhone X compare to that? I came from a Galaxy s8 and I’m waiting for my X to come in the mail.

Lol. Y'all are a bunch of haters. Don't hate on the next guy, just because you can't get a hold on the phone.

Congrats!!!

Thanks. I am really enjoying the phone. Leaning all the gestures and ways to take screenshot, powering down the phone and restart. Still have lots more to learn and this is what makes the phone exciting to use. The previous iPhones were all the same. Finally have something different from Apple.

Nice! Mine has been delayed drastically, so I’m all pumped up when hearing people enjoying their iPhones.

But..... but everybody's complaining about the learning curve! Why should we have to learn new gestures?! Why can't it just be like every other iPhone that's ever been released!!??!

Classic.

Don't let the rudeness of others bother you. Who cares if your post was long winded. You're legitimately excited about your new phone. Congrats and enjoy. I think I'm actually going to move forward with an iPhone 8 Plus instead of the X and look to do the Plus size next year or the year after.

Frankly mate, after all this time, nobody really cares for all this pointless detail. The fact that it's silver, so what? Why quote the capacity? Do you think having 256GB makes it better? Maybe you do given how you seem to think that the case and screen protector (somebody has to use one I guess) are the best.
