The ones I hate most are the sound ones. Here I am, happily watching some Grenadier with my headphones, to suddenly get this drum&bass over the top, much louder than anything else, that took about 5 mins to find the offending tab

theres an extension to turn off sounds as well.

Thanks! I like it too . I originally placed the tea pot dead center, and it was larger, but that was not interesting, so I made it smaller and put it in the corner. Puts the picture off balance and, IMO, makes it more engaging. And from a logical point of view, it seems awkward to me because you can't fit a cup between the tea pot and the wall of the avatar. There's nowhere for the tea to go if you tip it forward. In fact, the spout might even hit the border if you tip it forward. I like that awkwardness. Oh god, I sound like I just finished a semester at art school . Perhaps that's because I have .

i like seeing people's animated 'tars. they make the site more dynamic IMO. i dont think my avatar will ever be animated; there is little point. i do not intend to change the subject of my avatar, but the picture of the subject will change every month, so the images do not become stale but people can still recognise me.
