I am not sure which iPad I have. When i got it, the biggest you could get was 64 gigs. Mine is 32.

I stated taking vocal lessons. I thought, the larger screen will only help me, when reading music. Plus, my iPad has gotten slow. So, I went to Verizon and ordered a 256 gig 12.9 pro. It is out of stock. It will be in on March 31st.

So, my question. What are some good apps and games to get? I like all games. As far as apps go, anything for music or art would be good. I have a copyright o a cartoon. I write the stories and do the art. So anything that helps with that would be good.

Let's see. I like learning stuff about the oceans and space.

Any tips on good stuff would be most helpful.

Congrats on the purchase and wish I had the moxie like you to order as I just cant decide to order now or wait for the pending Apple "show" coming up.

I am leaning used 9.7 and then trading or selling once the new one is announced. I am so unorganized the iPad would really help with that in my day to day job functions.

These iPad pros are no joke. Really love my 12.9 here. Do a lot of "PDF Work" annotations etc and it makes my life a thousand times easier. wish mine was cellular, hate having to hotspot off phone but just a minor inconvenience compared to all the convenience the IPP brings. Nice pic, good choice. Enjoy

Did you pay full price?

If so, I would cancel your order, and start looking for discounted 12.9s on swappa.com. Folks have been selling their 12.9s on there at steep discounts for a few months now. Plus, you can get it delivered sooner.

Here's one for $900... not the steepest discount I've seen, but it could save you some dough.

Buying an iPad and any electronic item for the matter is nice to know who you're buying it from. Swappa is good, mutual friends are better.

I know that people are just trying to be helpful, but when someone is excited about a new purchase, they don't always want to hear about how they could have made a better one.

I agree not everybody thinks that chasing the best deal makes any difference, or worth the time, a fact that is completely lost on many. So many retailers are sold out or like Verizon saying end of March. Apple has plenty in stock, so to the retailers don't want to make sales that will just be returned.

Yeah this sounds like the retailers know there's an event and no longer want to sell the older models.

If you're happy to wait it sounds like you'll get a new model, but I don't understand why you'd pay now to have to wait two months when as others said Apple will ship you the current model now.

March 31st? Hmm. Sounds like they are out of stock and waiting for the new iPad pros. Maybe they'll be announced in March after all.

And Apple's keynote tends to be right around mid-March. I'm thinking we will see a revamped iPad Pro and a new 10 inch model With a revamped Apple Pencil.

I got a used Pro 12.9 to try out drawing with the Apple pencil. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I figure the money I saved on the used iPad could be put towards a cover, pencil, and apps.

I love it so much that if Apple announces significant upgrades on the next model, I'm trading up. I have been using Procreate for drawing and stress relief after work. Even if they announce a new one in a couple of months (who knows if that will be true, and if it is, who knows when they will be actually available), I'm getting a few hundred dollars worth of enjoyment out of it.

If the next announcement is lackluster, I'll keep my existing one and wait for the 2018 model.

I've been drawing instead of watching TV or playing video games, or surfing the net. I feel like I'm actually getting something out of it and couldn't be happier with my purchase. This is a far cry from me complaining about the Apple desktop line. This is me totally in love with an Apple product again.

You will love it.

[doublepost=1486246727][/doublepost]I got mine, from Verizon, for the fact that, first, Verizon has always been good with stuff in the past. Two, I can trust them if anything goes wrong. Finally, I had the choice to pay month to month. While i could have just paid for the thing, I guess the month to month thing is easier.

Congrats on the new purchase! I have had mine for a little over a year now, and I couldn't be happier. To me, it truly is an outstanding device. I find myself using my iPad Pro now more than my MacBook Pro. It's capable of doing everything I have tried to throw at it and then some. You're going to love it! Enjoy!
