Today I saw that Safari was offering a 4K option on YouTube!

Its great to finally see Safari and YouTube getting along better. :)

It’s working on an M1 iMac, running Big Sur 11.4.

It's nothing new. 4K YouTube video streaming support was introduced with BigSur and my old 27" Intel iMac could play 4K videos with no issues whatsoever.
The new iMac though supports NetFlix 4K, which is great news.

It’s new to me, and I’m glad to finally be able to enjoy it. :)

Previously, I’d been using Firefox for 4K YouTube playback.

It’s nice to be uni-browse-ular again
