I'm sticking with the Cycorder/Pixelpipe combination. Works like a champ.

    yes

It certainly does, you can use it in local mode, record, save, view, delete
    all within the app

note, don't confuse with "ustream recorder", which is only for the 3gs, it's "ustream broadcaster"
that also works with non 3gs :)

The app says it does. If it does all it says it's a great app.

I can confirm that this app allows video-recording on iphone 3g. Totally amazing.

So why is this released on the app store and Cycorder is not?

Give it time;) Apple is just now allowing publication of these kind of apps that use non-public api's.

Winterboard kills my iPhone, so I erased it. I'm still keeping it jailbroken because these apps simply are nowhere as good as Cycorder. At all.
