Hello, there is an iOS device that keeps poping up in my finder and I was wondering if there is a way of finding the IP address of that address. I can get to it from finder and using the standard username and password but I want to SSH into the device. I am sorry if this is an unethical question to post here, I am just curious.

    Nmap

Get a network scanner and scan your domain, you will find all the devices connected and if the iphone have SSH running it will tell you.

couple of my favorites are Nmap or Angry IP

I have Angry IP but when scanning it returns with IP addresses with no other information attached to them.

Should have a hostname attached to it, also how many IP is returning? if you are at home or small office it shouldn't be hard to try all the ips, if you are in a large network, corporate or school? then the responses my be block which it would be advisable that you just abandon your quest ;)

The iPhone must be showing up in Bonjour. So you know it's Bonjour name.

Open terminal and ping it's Bonjour name.

    > ping -c 1 <Bonjour name>.local

Don't forget to put backslashes before spaces and apostrophes in the name.

Yeah Bonjour was going to be my next suggestion, you can use Bonjour Browser for a nice little interface.
