So I often take my watch off and set it down while at home. In the past I could ask Siri to find my devic. I’ve used a HomePod, iPhone even my iPad before and they all worked.

They (Siri) would respond ”Pinging your Apple Watch” indeed the watch would ping, vibrate and the green sensor light on the back would flash.

this all stopped working recently. Now I get a response stating “You don’t have an Apple Watch signed into this iCloud account“. However I an indeed signed in and if I use the Find Me app or iCloud.com I can locate my device, play a sound, lock etc.

I'm using a 3rd Gen LTE device.

is anyone else seeing this issue? What watch?

thanks

Just tried, and if I say ‘hey Siri find my Apple Watch’ it works as expected. This is on both my HomePod and iPhone

I first started off by saying where is my Apple Watch and the HomePod responded with it doesn’t know if it’s nearby and to check on iCloud, but I now ask the same thing on the same HomePod and it works. Just further a proof that Siri is absolute garbage, not fit for purpose and an embarrassment.

S5 watch?

Bizarre, still the same error for me.
iPhone XR
iPad Pro 9.7”
Series 3 LTE

Anyone have a S3 seeing the same result

thx I didn’t consider that the slight variations in devices based on geography may be a factor.

I‘m in Canada

Take a look at the app “PhoneBuddy.” It works well and the Developers are responsive. That way work better for you than what where you are at the moment.

I’m just annoyed that we’ve all become beta testers, why is it that we seem to constantly be getting half baked buggy sw!
