I just returned from a Genius Bar appointment and the genius confirmed thee are only two places to turn off “find my”.
Despite this it is running a background process always eating 4-11 % of my battery. I was recommended to erase and set up as new. However I just did that with my iPad with no effect. It also has a “find my” background process running rating up battery. Last night it was 100% responsible for battery usage, see picture here.

My only hope is next release of iOS correct this. How can I formally report a bug to Apple it CSM I assume that the beta testers report this?
Am I the only one with this issue?

Same on my iPad. Not only does it show find my with location services completely off, it also shows „Home“ as a second culprit, even though I don’t have the home app even installed

Hi, it‘s sort of an old post but I have now on iOS 16.1 with my iPhone 14 Pro the same problem. Before with my iPhone 12 it wasn‘t there. Over night this means 8-10% of the battery. :/ Does anyone have this problem too?

My mother has an old 6s. I don't quite remember what version of iOS she's running. I'll see her in two days and check. But, recently her battery has started dying very quickly. I looked at battery usage and Find My was 100%. She does have Location services turned on, but this is a recent development.
