I haven't seen a thread started for this yet so here it goes..

Fortunately I haven't had to use the find my iphone feature that is included with my iPhone and my Me subscription. But I have tested it (in Canada), and its kind of neat, however, when I was in England I tried it there to show to a friend and it didn't work on the wifi. Is that because it needs to be on the cell network? I had it on airplane mode over there (roaming is EXPENSIVE!)

So I thought, well if Apple could work on a way to get it to work on Wifi. Why not get the feature to work with any portable for Apple? Could it not work with the computers IP or MAC address? Anyone have any insight on this? As I would think for a lot of people who have MBP's would love to have something like this.

I know it maybe asking a lot but has anyone wondered about it?
