I read there was no way to find out your display type (Samsung vs. LG) on the 2013 rMBP. Has anybody found a way?

Apple probably disabled the command line information so LG owners wouldn't feel they have an inferior product. I would still love to know

13"--no way to tell.

15"--run this on Terminal:

ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

LP is LG...LSN is Samsung. (the first two letters)
