I have an iBook G4 and am using OSX 10.5.2 then suddenly, my hard drive icon and folder icons are gone and I can't get the Finder to work. When I click on its icon in the dock nothing happens. If I go to Spotlight and type in "my computer" it does show that it is a folder somewhere, but I can't get to it. I know how to check my email and get to websites and that's about the extent of my computer knowledge. Is there anyone out there who knows what happened and/or how to fix it? Thanks!!!!

Repairing Permissions
I did try restarting a few times and it didn't work. I then tried repairing the permissions and it seemed to get stuck. How long should it take. Does any of this have anything to do with how painfully slow my computer has gotten? Thanks so much for your help!!
