Finder and .nib files

Why is finder showing all my .nib files a folders instead of Interface Builder files? yes, I have Interface Builder installed.

Use File > Get Info to properly associate them.

Finder thinks it's a folder there for there is not setting to associate them 🙁

.nib files are actually folders (just like .app). They are packages. Something has caused Finder to forget that they are packages and start treating them as folders. I'd suggest starting Interface Builder then re-starting the Finder.
