Not sure if this is a bug or my system is acting strange as a few odd things have occured recently.

Anyhow, when using Cmd to click on the grey button in the upper right of the finder windows to display the text option, the "forward" text does not show up.

So if you are using text only, how do you navigate forward?

i think it's just a quirk that doesn't quite work as expected.
i use column mode, so all i use are arrow keys to navigate back/forward. unless you went back and wanted to go forward in exactly the same manner, such a "forward" key would be pretty useless.

I don't think you can call forgetting to put a "back" button on a finder 'a quirk'

Another way of putting it is that when using the finder in Icon mode along the top, we can have both a forward and a back button, but if we choose to have the text only option along the top, we can only have a "back" button. If a back button is unnecessary in text mode then why is it necessary in icon mode.
