Finder constantly freezing on 10.12+

Ever since I upgraded to Sierra (and also High Sierra), I have had issues with Finder frequently freezing. I click on it and nothing happens, and I right click and lo and behold, it says "not responding" so I have to Relaunch it. Is there any fix for this? Is this just a problem I'm experiencing on my machines? (2011 13" MacBook Pro w/ 16 GB RAM + 2013 MacBook Air w/ 8 GB RAM)

Does the 2011 MBPro still have a platter-based hard drive in it?
If so, change to an SSD, and things will go MUCH better.

I have a new Samsung 850 SSD in the MBP and it's been having the issues only since I upgraded to Sierra.

All Apple software has been buggy lately.
I don't care how big of a fanboy you are. I have problems with High Sierra as well on my MacBook.
Next year I'll go all PC and Android.
Sick of Apple's crap, really.

Doesn't look like anything is amiss right off the bat. This is on my MBA.

Anyone else know anything about this problem? I am having to relaunch Finder probably 10 times a day on average, when I go to click it it is frozen.

Also, my Desktop in the sidebar in Finder windows is constantly disappearing, I have to go back to iCloud Drive and drag it back into the sidebar. The first time I drag it, it fails to add. The second time, it succeeds.

Test a new User Account without any of the additions. You may have to uninstall "Undercover" and any third-party software that adds extensions to the system to have a true comparison.
