All,

I have been trying to find a web entry which will help in solving this problem but nothing so far, which is the reason for this thread.

I have a Macbook Pro and have installed Bootcamp and Windows (to run Windows only software).

Under MAC OSX Leopard (which I use a lot) every time I search for anything (whether file name, size, contents etc) using Finder, results are only reported from the Windows bootcamp drive, nothing is found within the Mac OSX drive.

I have tried to force it to look in the OSX drive (using Finder Search location etc) to no avail.

Does anyone has any idea how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Peter

System Preferences -> Spotlight -> Privacy

Everything in that list will be ignored by Spotlight. Might be that some folders snuck their way into that list that shouldn't have.

Finder still doesnt search Mac drives

I did check the spotlight settings and they are fine.

There must be a file that tells finder where to look, by default, and this file is either deleted by the bootcamp installation, replaced by the bootcamp installation or I don't know what.

Thanks for the info,
Peter
