Hello,

I downloaded High Sierra on my 2016 MacbookPro on the first day it became available and now I'm experiencing something very frustrating:

After I moved a file into a folder from Downloads, this particular folder just cannot be opened in Finder anymore. But when I take a screenshot, the glitch seems to disappear (although the files under the folder can't be seen).

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Screen Shot 2017-09-28 at 2.49.57 PM.png

I had this issue occur today. I dragged a file from the download folder in the dock, into a folder with my documents in a new finder window. Finder seemed to freeze, and not respond.

I forced quit Finder, and checked to see if the file had moved into the document folder, but whenever I attempted to open that folder, the folder would glitch and not allow me to see the contents.

I restart the laptop and even after a restart I could not access the folder or see any of the contents. I ran first aid over the disk and it came up clean, so I was stumped.

To resolve the issue, I had to use a workaround. The folder that had issues was a dropbox synced folder, so I unsynced the folder from my laptop, restarted, then re-synced the folder to my laptop. This has resolved the issue.

I hope it doesn't occur again...

Dropbox has been known to do hacky things like this so I wouldn't be surprised if it needs a High Sierra update.

Mine is synched to iCloud since this folder is on my desktop. Just tried toggling synching off and on but the problem persists.
[doublepost=1506643562][/doublepost]This is REALLY strange but...after toggling iCloud settings, my "All My Files" tab has vanished:

I had the same problem, the folder could not be opened through finder even after a restart. A quick solution was to run the following command in the terminal.
Code:
mv [GlitchingFolderName]/* [NewFolderName]/

Then, delete the old folder after verifying the contents have transferred over correctly.

Thanks for sharing!

My solution was to switch to list view and move everything to a new folder.

But now I just make sure I move the files from Downloads to my Desktop first before moving them to any other folders.
