Finder Help

hi, when i double click my mac HD icon, the finder window pops up but the bottom of it hides behind the dock so i cant adjust the size of the box!!, very annoying, how do i fix this?

Press the green button (+) at the top left of the finder window.

Or if you have the graphite look the one on the far right.
