Finder problems

Hi,

Over the last couple of days my 13" MacBook Pro (Bought in October 2009) has been acting strange. On Tuesday when I booted it up, after it had finished loading it just sat with the beach ball cursor, I could open other apps, just not Finder.

I ran Verify disk and it said the filesystem was corrupt and needed to be repaired.

So I booted up into safe mode, which repaired it. So everything was working ok until Yesterday. I was surfing the internet and clicked on the Finder icon and suddenly an error appeared saying "The application Finder can't be opened. -10810" after this happend I couldn't get back stability, nothing was responding - so I had to force shutdown.

The same thing has happend again today.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks!

Finder is unstable.

You can typically kickstart it again by running this in Terminal:

This problem typically manifests itself when you are dealing with samba shares, but really, Finder is just crap.
 
Thanks for the reply, I haven't been dealing samba shares, would there be anything that may be causing it?
