Hey, what's going on guys. I keep having this odd problem with my finder, and I cannot find ANYBODY else with this problem, or any way to fix it, anywhere online. Basically, whenever I click on one of my shared devices, like 'Time Capsule', or 'Will's Macbook' (my brother's computer), for example, the finder just instantly relaunches. It doesn't crash or freeze or anything, it just does exactly what it would do if you click 'relaunch' in the force quit menu. All of the stuff on my desktop disappears, and then they reappear after a few seconds, etc. Has anybody got any idea why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance,
-Magick

A. What is the Mac you are using.
B. What version of OSX are you using.
C. Exactly what is the "share" you are clicking on.
D. Have you run disk permissions lately ?

I am using a mid-2010 Macbook Pro, running Mountain Lion.

If you look at the screenshot below, if I click on ANYTHING listed under 'Shared', it relaunches the finder.

Lastly, no I have not, and I shall do so now, didn't think about that.

Okay, I verified and then repaired my disk permissions with disk utility, and still no luck.

Do you have sharing turned on ? And do the other people have you in their list of people that can share ?

Try to restart your mac and see what happens. That and turn off sharing then restart.
