Finder Reorganizes Itself?

Whenever i go to the finder window, it keeps on changing the order of icons in the "places" bar, and it also changes the order from a-z, which is what I want, to z-a. How do i stop this?

I would first try deleting the finder .plist file. This will put Finder back to its default settings. Now go back and change them as you want.
