does anyone know how to make the default Finder search window bigger that opens when you click show all in Spotlight or command-F when no other Finder windows are open?

i like all my Finder windows a lot bigger and its too small to find any of my search results intuitively. is there a plist file or something that i can edit? also theres always a scroll bar at the bottom that takes up space. when you change the column sizes to remove the scroll bar it comes back again like the window and column sizes are pre-set.
