I have been expirancing a problem lately. I have a 14' new ibook and this is my first Mac... so I am unsure how to solve this problem. Finder randomly starts using 100% of my CPU... I have to open the activity monitor and stop the process...

How can I fix this? I noticed this first when my laptop was hot as hell and been barley doing anything....

Thanks, plz help

Are you indexing your hard drive or anything? If not, I would do the usual repair permissions, check your start up items and hope it doesn't come back.
