Hello,

For a while now I've been experiencing corruption of the graphics of Finder windows. It seems to be happening after extended periods of uptime (i.e. not sleeping the mac).

It looks like this:

I've tried re-installing Leopard with the combo updater but no luck.

My mac is a Summer 2007 model MBP (I seem to remember they had problems with the nVidia GPU, could the issues be related?).

Thanks in advance for any help!

[edit]
Odd that the corruption seems to be only on the Apple icons and not the one I added (the one on the far right).
Also, after a while it fixes itself.

It might be related, do you have Applecare?
No, but I think the repair was free for these specific models.. I just can't lose the machine for 3 weeks, as it's my only computer and all my files are on it..
I think I'll wait for the new MBPs (hopefully @ WWDC) and get a new one. Then send this one in for repair and sell it..

Then take it to an Apple store or call and find out.
I am planning to do that, of course. But I was wondering if anyone else had these issues (or a fix), so that maybe I wouldn't have to miss my Mac.

Thought I'd mention I had it fixed (logic board was replaced) and I'm no longer experiencing these issues..

Bit late, but if anyone is experiencing similar problems, this is, most likely, the way to fix it (i.e. sending it in for repair).

Things like this is how people say "Snow Leopard sucks!!!" when really, it could be the computer you're using it on that has a problem.
