I keep changing the size of the finder window on my Mac Pro and rMBP and it keeps resetting to a tiny size. A web search suggested a 'relaunch' after closing all windows using the option key and right clicking finder. This worked on my rMBP but the Mac Pro is proving stubborn and refuses to change.

I'm guessing this is a bug? Any suggestions, it's driving me nuts!

Create a new folder on the Desktop (CMD+SHIFT+N), open it, select View-View Options (CMD+J), set the window to your desired size and type view, select always open, and then click Use as Defaults button. That should retain your setting and every other folder you open for the first time should also inherit those settings.

Never had any problems here since I learned how to set it properly.
For me, this is what worked...
------------
click on Finder in the Dock
resize this very first window that opens and then close it.
Now when you next open Finder the new size 'should' stick, if it does not then I'm out of suggestions.
