Finder's 'Flexible Space' is not highlighted in my Big Sur powered Macbook Pro. So I am unable to drag it to the Tool bar. Thanks
 
Ok, I take my previous post back. It does let me drag and drop a "Flexible Space" element, but when I do, all that appears is a dividing line (not a space that you can adjust). Just looked on YouTube and saw others were having an issue where it doesn't show anything at all (not even a line), so apparently this is a bug. Somebody said they could get it to work in Preview and Safari (but not Finder), but I can't get it to work for any of those three apps. In Preview, it just inserts a vertical line (as in Finder). In Safari, it inserts an unflexible space that's about 4+ times the size of a normal space. Here's a video demonstrating the issue:
