How can i locate the actual font files that are installed in my iMac (ElCapitan). Using FontBook which is very disorientating for me i get multiple font files that seem to be turned off but still working... i dunno i cant understand fBook. Im attaching a screenshot if you can help me out.
I just prefer the old fashioned way in older OS's that font were in specific places and all was working straight with no ifs or buts etc.

You have multiple font files for the same font. The duplicates are disabled (which is good) but are still showing because the files are present. While you can remove the files if you want to, you don't have to do so since they won't appear anywhere but in FontBook. Best way to get rid of enabled duplicates: You can search for duplicate files using the ⌘L "Look for Enabled Duplicates..." command, where there is an option to move the duplicates in the trash.

There's an even easier way. In Font Book, you can just right click on the font you want to remove and you'll get a contextual menu that gives you the option to remove it. There's also a "Find Duplicates" option in the right-click menu.
