I have several hard drives connected to my iMac. How do I check to see which drive my iTunes media is being stored on? If it is all on my external, can I safely delete everything inside of the Music folder on my iMac's SSD, or are there some files I may need in there for iTunes to work properly?

Is it possible to store iTunes media on two separate drives?

Thanks.

Under iTunes Preferences > Advanced you can view or change the location of the media folder. From memory, if "Keep media folder organised" is checked iTunes will migrate all your files across to the new location, in case you change it.

You can also right-click on a track and select Show in Finder.

I went ahead and moved a folder of some music off of my SSD and onto the external drive where I keep all of my main iTunes music. The folder only contained some music, though now I have all the broken links in iTunes. Is there an easy way to find the broken links and just delete all of them in iTunes OR just find them so I can easily reconnect them now that they have been relocated to my main drive?

Thanks.

It would have been easier to let iTunes move the files, by changing the media folder location in Preferences.

But I suppose you can have it scan the new location, it will find the files and either add them as new tracks to the library or recognise them as belonging to the existing tracks. If the former, you can search for duplicates and clean them up manually.
