No, it's just as bad if not worse.

I can only recommend the leather options from Andar, Ryan London and Bullstrap and non-leather from Spigen. Not used any others personally.
One good thing I've discovered about the woven case -- some of "wear" you might see turns out to be some collected dirt/dust. I wiped mine down with a wet cloth, and it looks a lot better.
