They are susceptible to staining from hot sauce, oils and grease. As I subsist exclusively on Taco Bell, I think I'll pass.
If you buy one of these, don't forget the stain protector:

No way Apple would only charge $29. More like $49. This is the company that charges $19 for a tiny cloth. Although to be fair the cloth is way nicer than any of this "Fine Woven" crap.

Whomever convinced Tim Cook that FineWoven was the way to go…should have their Etch A Sketch revoked and shown the door immediately.
Finewoven will still be talked about in a year, and two years and 10 years…as one of Apple’s biggest failures…and rightfully so.
Right up there with iPod Socks.

geeze November, and with all the heavy criticism for the FW case, not so sure..
I'm thinking the strap might be ok since the case sereves a different purpose and has plastic all around it. Also, I tried hard to fingernail a FW case at Apple and nothing... This is basically a cloth strap over god knows what, but then again the leather was over plastic as well.

as far as apple watch straps, it's either cheap looking rubber or cheap looking stretchy fabric, (or this FW one) or $350 Hermes. So basically no choice worthy of the actual watch aside from 3rd party.

I can totally see $99 for a (quality) leather band. But $99 for the FineWoven bands? No. And that's coming from someone who own a bunch of $99 braided solo loops. I wouldn't pay more than $79 (in Apple dollars) for a FineWoven magnetic link.
