finger print reader un reliable

    seems i learn a finger print and in a few days it dosnt work. Tried left right hands etc.
    any one else experiencing the same?

    Mine works perfectly. No problems at all.

    If you have moist fingers (like if your hands sweat easily), it's difficult for capacitive sensors to read fingerprints properly.

    If your skin is dry, you might have a hardware problem.

    Fingerprint reader in MacBook is bulletproof even with dirty window it will work. It's the same tech as in iPhone- for me it is working flawlessly. Basically you are doing it wrong


    Try re-running finger enrollment again and/or change finger. Try asking sb else to test it.

    No problems here either. Brand new 2017 15" tB MBP. Print reader works perfectly.

    Maybe your sensor is defective.

    The reader gradually decays and in a week not working. Tried different combinations.
