So I have wiped the face of my SS 42mm more times in a week than my Iphone in 9 months.

People have complained about the oleophobic coating scratching. I can't see that mine even has a coating. Maybe that's a good thing.

So am I greasy fingering it wrong?

Your not alone! I have to wipe my fingerprint off the watch EVERYTIME I touch it! Lol
It is a fingerprint magnet and I don't like seeing fingerprints on it!

Yes, I've noticed this as well. I find myself wiping the screen with a microfiber or my t-shirt often.

agreed. Is there a chance that after the feedback of the coating getting scratched maybe they removed it? If there is a coating on mine then it appears to show fingerprints very very easy.

Guess what happens when you put your phone in your pocket? It cleans your phone!

How many times a day do you put your watch in your pocket?

Yea I usually just wipe my wrist on the back of my shirt a few times a day to get the smudges off at work. I have a cloth at home that I use before I put it on the charger at night.

On the positive side, it's much easier to clear than the iPhone : I just swipe it on the t-shirt or if it's really dirty I wash it with a bit a soap.

I clean mine all the time. I looked at my iPhone and it has smudges all over it too, so I definitely think it's because I look at it on my wrist and see the smudge rather than it being more fingerprint-prone. Easy to clean though.

After a day at work it'll be pretty dirty. I work in produce at a grocery store, so think rotten fruit, dust and dirt lol. I'll just rinse it off under some tap water when I get home amd BOOMS it's back to looking brand new. I don't even have to scrub it or anything.
