Yes, the current version does. I haven't tried the beta yet.Does InFuse allow you to delete files from your NAS?
- however, it does not play "raw" formats such as mts, m2t, m2ts, ts, the kinds that your camcorder will record. The app either hangs or simply crashes back to the home screen.
I also have the beta for Infuse for Apple TV. The ability to stream videos directly through NAS/afp/SMB shares without the need for a computer/server software is worth buying an Apple TV for.
I also contacted FireCore, addressing the need of marking folders as "favourites", which is problematic if your library is split up between disks/shares. They told me they're working on a unified library view, but that it won't make it in the initial release.
Does this app pass through HD audio? What about up to 7.1 pcm audio?
Also what does it do if it encounters vc1 or mpeg2 video in an mkv? Does it decode in software and display natively?
What about PGS subtitles in an mkv? And does it honor forced subtitle flags automatically?
Is the app playing high bit (40+ Mbps) bd rips without issue over a network?
Can someone post screenshots or a video of the UI yet?
Any support for iso playback of dvd or bluray with menus?
Thanks!
Unified library view like Plex is a must
I cant play any file form my time capsule or imac
I hope this is just a bug. The current iOS app plays m2ts files...a lot of my movies are direct blu-ray rips and in this file format.
Did he say it'll be out in a couple of months?
Just out of curiosity, why would you choose this over your current setup?Didn't hear him saying that. I think it's a matter of weeks. If they are really able to fetch metadata from filename/foldername and can offer some form of DD/DTS bitstreaming I might consider this over my current Kodi+Nvidia Shield setup.
I posted on their comment section and one of the developers confirmed HD audio passthrough. I'm not sure about MPEG2 and VC1. I wonder how well they play? (I have a bunch of bluray rips with VC1 so I'm concerned...)Looks nice. Would still a confirmation that it plays vc1 and mpeg2 via software decoding. HD audio pass through would also seal the deal on it.
The Nvidia Shield TV is really nice and Nvidia even added support for DTS and HD Audio playback. However, Kodi hasn't implemented it so I'm not sure how long (if ever?) until they get around to adding it. If infuse was released today, it sounds like it would have better support for playback than Kodi on Shield TV except for 23 Hz playback.Just out of curiosity, why would you choose this over your current setup?
From what I've read and seen online, the shield is better.
Thx
Here is their blog announcement:Hmmm... I don't see anything on the Infuse blog or anything...![]()
