Chrome is aggressively pushed by Google everywhere they can, and Google is everywhere. Similar for Edge (which is just a reskinned Chrome) by Microsoft on Windows. Safari is the only allowed browser engine on iOS/iPadOS, so has some synergy benefits for Mac users, and of course is the default-installed browser on MacOS.
Firefox is still the most power hungry browser on macOS! Just watch activity monitor and don’t rely on the old “Chrome slows downs my Mac” nonsense. Edge is even better and so is Brave. All Chromium browsers. And about manifest 3. UBlock Origin already has a mv3 version and it works just fine. Please stop the FUD it’s not so bad. Yes power users may notice a difference but for 98% of the people the mv3 version of uBlock Origin is enough
I am a FF user. Librewolf sounds interesting, does Librewolf support Addons like NoScript, I use that exclusively to block out unwanted traffic and snooping.
I wish the browser focused on efficiency vs constantly pushing out new features. It's so inefficient compared to even chrome/edge. Even downloading a file chews quite a large portion of a core

It is basically just a scraped-down Firefox. I use Firefox for syncing which was easily turned on through settings.
They do run a few weeks behind the Firefox because of assuring that things are not being added that shouldn't.
I highly recommend using Privacytests.org for more info. Enjoy!
I really like FF but I suspect that they'll never gain significant marketshare again due to the major platform owners pushing their browsers and Chrome dominating the desktop.
And I think their - Mozilla's - misstep with building their cross platform UI kit, thus making it feel that it wasn't truly at home on any platform & the years that it took (and are still taking) to fully integrate into each desktop OS.
But I'm very glad they exist.
All credit for the new Big Sur style icon too!
I wish that they'd look at the bookmarks manager though as it looks like it's from the 00s still (though that they haven't may mean that I'm one of the few people on the planet who still use bookmarks and thus it's way down on their priority list).
