Recently (past month or so) on some websites with a lot of active frames, Firefox 128 hangs and beach balls. Sometimes I can kill that tab (only have 1 or 2 tabs open). iStat shows about 400-500% cpu. If I open the same site in Safari, I get a brief surge of extremely high cpu, but then things are OK. Not sure exactly which update started it, as I usually let Firefox update whenever it needs to. Any ideas?

Thanks, bogdanw... Gave that a try and it seems to have done the trick. The latest normal drop (126.0 also on May 14th) also seems to be without the cpu problem. Looking at the 'what's new in 126.0' I don't really see any changes to the system that might have fixed it, but they likely incorporated some of the ESR pieces into the latest drop.

Appreciate the pointer.
