your link is for ppc only. and so called "slower", i guess is based on ppc situation too?
Based on both. PPC is no slower than Intel.

My builds are for PPC G5, which most users have. Someone else makes G4 and Intel versions (check Mozillazine's forums).

wooo, i didn't noticed any slow down, but it is really buggy.
this version is provided by josh Aas, he is the developer of camino too, so i think his version has best chance to be landed in official trunk.

I know change is always difficult but am I the only one who dislikes the garish use of colour in the interface? I'm not against colour in interfaces but I think Apple are doing the right thing by limiting its use in certain places. Web pages are about someone else's design and Safari seems less distracting.

Maybe I'm just fussy. I can't stand colour in the menu bar either. And don't get me started on Windows...

Problem solved. Firefox, likewise, is skinnable.

See? Nothing garish about that at all!

As I've read about Firefox version 3.0, the main feature of it is a new Gecko engine. I'm not sure that should rate another new version but then, version 2.0 should probably be version 1.6.

Just read something earlier today about mods to Gecko due in '07 to make it pass Acid2. Surely that would warrant a v3?

Sounds like a good version 1.0 to me. :)

I updated the information. detail is in my very first post.

jezuz, scrolling feels fast on this build. :) Still, I get a shacking preference window, when I change tabs, a little scary, and tabs don't reorder. Nothing to do but wait, I guess.

This is old news. I used Minefield long ago and there's nothing new about these nightly builds you're all excited about.

Latest build looks very nice, I'm using it right now to type this post... :)

I have 1 question though... when (if ever) will Firefox support Apple-Ctrl-D for dictionary lookups, and other "native" hotkeys like that? Coz that is a seriously useful trick that would instantly bump Firefox up a couple notches in my book... :)
