Anyone know when it officially will be launched? Thx
It's slated for this month. The date isn't official yet and won't be until it's actually done.
I think it will be out in January...
Yup. Though there could be a quick turn-around between the Release Candidate and the final version, just recently we got a fifth Beta. Firefox has been disappointingly bad about deadlines, but that's the nature of open-source freeware. Maybe I should donate...
Any "must haves" over 3.5?
Full Screen Mode.
It has that ... in the WINDOZE version.
How do you do this in the beta?
View - Full Screen
Full-screen, eh? Opera already does that, albeit w/o scrollbars.
The only thing I request out of 3.6 is much less memory leak. I mean, FF eats RAM like a Nathan's Hot Dog eating champ, even without any addons or such.

Hmmm, odd. With me it preformed way differently, even when it was the only app running.
Maybe I should kill off kernel_root? /snicker

It changes the way addons work in an attempt to make them more secure.
Also fixed that embarrassing design decision of scanning temp files to seed the SSL randomizer. Even though the bug fix says "Windows" and "IE Temp Files", the behavior was across all operating systems. Fixing this sped up start times significantly. Edit: Looks like this was back-ported to 3.5.1.
beta have been pretty stable, and all my extensions work (firebug, webdev stuff). Not sure when its coming out though.
