wow the screenshot looks nice! They finally integrated the new OS X theme w/ beta 3. You had to go out and grab it separately w/ Beta 2. I'm VERY excited for the new firefox 3, but i can't have anything like extensions break in my dev environment so i'll wait for the official release :)

Firefox2 crashes SO often for me! I really hope 3 is better.

Firefox is a nice browser, but it's still ugly as sin. It's as though they see all these apps for os x and then purposely make it look like a bad port

they have not fixed the memory leaks!

I'm using beta 2 right now and there is virtually no difference in the amount of memory is consumes versus 2.0. It's constantly in the 170-200Mb range.

It's infuriating...Safari eats up way way less and is faster but I'm just too attached to Firefox to give it up!

So far so god. Stable and solid. The extensions in Firefox just add soooo much value that I don't ever see myself switching to Safari in any meaningful way.

And as others have said...if you think Firefox is ugly, then you must think Safari is ugly as well...they look a lot alike now...but Firefox looks better to me. Of course to each his own.

I don't like the font rendering, how can I make it look like Webkit/less jarring.
I don't know, you can submit a bug report if it bothers you alot tho
safari seems snappier!

how "snappy" is it? ;)
define "snappy" please

I don't think its true. safari, even if doing slightly better in this department, isn't that much better, not to mention the numerous extra functions you get from firefox.

Memory leak fixes are more obvious when you run the browser for longer time.

That being said, 170-200MB is NOT the number I get, maybe you can describe a little bit about your normal preference surfing the internet see if we can figure out where the cause might be?

Any word on restoring the ability to click on the site's URL bar icon to highlight everything? Why did they change that!

Any word on restoring the ability to click on the site's URL bar icon to highlight everything? Why did they change that!

because clicking any place in url bar can already highlight everything?

So they use that icon to provide other information (security of the website)

i tried it.
still just doesn't feel right.

i like the way that camino behaves, but in the past week its been giving me trouble for some reason. very frustrating.

i could deal with safari if it only handled tabs and links the way camino does.
