I wish Apple would do something to make Safari more compatible, I'm sick and tired of websites not working well with Safari.
Keep the design but use a different engine, Chrome or Mozilla

I use browsers that run on the three major desktop operating systems so Safari is out for me.

I just think it's an arms race..

I always use Firefox on my Windows PCs, I've found it fast and secure. Best alternative to Safari in my opinion.

While Mozilla has issues in the Content blocking scheme, it's not like Apple is off the hook either.. They have problems with websites since their new intelligent tracking came in.. A few websites have been fixed like banking websites, but there are still issues, you can just access fine on Firefox..

For that reason, i favor it. Add-ons are just frosting. The privacy scale of bit f both world is better than all out privacy wall like Apple (Safari)

Faster than Safari?
Yes. Much. And if you go into about:config and up the process count from 8 to say ... 100 ... it's comically faster. This is easily faster than Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Brave. It's also incredibly smooth and stable. Just the whole feel of this version of Firefox is really great. This will be my main browser again for a while and I've been on brave for quite some time. Also, the ad blocking by default on iOS is really great, even blocks stuff Brave seems to miss. I don't see most ads on websites with Firefox when I set it to strict mode.

Another very important point ... I can open a million tabs in Firefox and nothing slows down. Like ... at all ... and all the websites are responsive. I'm honestly impressed. Hopefully these great strides in the Firefox experience keeps them from disappearing. We need more non-Chromium browsers competing with Google. Sucks that Google basically owns 90% of the browser use market with either Chrome or a Chromium-based browser ... so much that even Microsoft caved in. I'm glad to support Mozilla for not being like everyone else.

Firefox is my default on Windows 10, and it's also on the older mac where Safari is not supported anymore.

I wondered if Apple tracking block and the tracking block with extension 1 blocker and other adblockers might be a cause so I turned off Apple's blocking, then switched and turned off 1 blocker and it didn't seem to make a difference.
Basically, as a browser, Safari just sucks. When it works it's great and I prefer the layout to all others but the incompatibility issues are ridiculous for a company as rich and talented as Apple to ignore.

Safari uses Webkit which is what the engine Chrome uses is based on.

The problem isn’t that Apple should be more compatible, but that website devs often only test on Chrome and often use Chrome-custom features. This causes problems for both Safari and Firefox. It’s similar to the bad old days when devs would build and test only with Internet Explorer. It’s just laziness.
