It's called Google Desktop. It's an old version (1.1) that doesn't work and I've been trying to get rid of it for ages. Whenever I uninstall, it says it will be deleted when Firefox restarts, but it doesn't; when it restarts, it says 1 new add-on has been installed, and it's Google Desktop! I've even tried going into my Firefox profile folder's Extensions folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Mozilla and deleting all the add-ons, but the Google Desktop one reappears the second I open Firefox! UGH!

...What do I do?! This is so weird...

Try checking for any running processes that might be causing the problem. You can do this by launching the Activity Monitor app, in your Utilities folder.

If you find it, force quit it, and check for related files in ~/Library/Google/ and /Library/Google/.
