can somebody PLEASE tell me what the hell is going on here? My web browser, Firefox, crashes every 30 seconds, literally. i'm actually typing this in text edit so i can copy and paste it here before the app crashes! This has been an ongoing problem. after trying EVERYTHING, i decided to erase the system hard drive and start from scratch. with my hard drive now virtually empty, this worked great for about an hour, and now i'm back to crashing all the time. i just don't get it. i'll try safari in the meantime and see if i fare any better. before i erased my disk i was having the same problem with safari too though. are there known bugs with my current version of firefox? anyway, here's my info:

1.25 GHz PowerPC G4
OS 10.4.11
Firefox 3.6.6
my flash player is current also (10.1.53.64)

I honestly have NO idea if this could possibly be the reason, but does anyone think bad RAM could cause this? Maybe try a hardware test of your RAM...

That's my only guess. Probably someone/most could give you a better guess.
