Firefox Getting New Controls to Turn Off AI Features

It's some kind of psychological tactic to make you feel bad for doing it.

I still have never fully grasped why anyone would want AI integrated into their web browser. I can ask an LLM to summarize an article at a web URL without having that LLM in my browser observing my behavior, bloating up my UI, and potentially bogging down my browser. I really do not want a local LLM sharing my permissions with me, especially if I do not have absolute control over what it sends back to its masters.

This is great news and didn't realize many of these things were still running even without using them. A quick google search and have them all disabled through about:config now.
