Firefox HELP

I have the recently updated ibook with the scroll pad features and am trying use the firefox web browser. Unfortunately whenever i happen to scroll sideways it either pushes me back a webpage or forward (as if i had pressed those buttons) and has become quite annoying. Can someone help me to figure out how to turn off this feature?
