I just downloaded a new version of firefox. version 2.0.0.11
I am having a problem with the bookmarks. I cant drag bookmarks to the toolbar, is there a setting i need to change?

Doesn't do it on mine either, I'm running v2.0.0.11. Unsure whether you can change this in preferences somewhere, or perhaps it just isn't supported.

Go to your bookmarks and click the desired site, when it loads up drag the small logo at the top left of the address bar into onto the toolbar, and it will give you a link. you can then right click > properties to edit its label/destination etc. This is how I do it.

Sorry answered wrong question.

Cmd+D opens a dialogue box and you just navigate to toolbar. :)
