My Firefox 3.01 for Mac is painfully slow....

    What is wrong ?
I have several extensions and add-ons. ( web developer, etc,)
Could they be the problem ?

Mine didn't slow down, though all I have for an add-on is the Weatherbug.

    Mine is really slow too.
But I use safari for surfing and firefox for the add-ons.
So when I see a website of which I want to see the code, I will open up firefox, open the website and use the firebug add-on.

Are you using Google Desktop? I've found that the extension that it installs for FF was slowing it down majorly.

I know that this is hardly new information but I uninstalled about 3/4 of my extensions yesterday (given that I wasn't using a lot of them or didn't use them enough to justify keeping them) and the speed increase is incredible.
