I'm playing with different browsers and for me personally Firefox Qunatum 68.10.esr is the fastest by far.

The scrolling and general feel of browsing is actually very acceptable on my iMac G5.

I just have one problem, it seems there is a color issue ( as per screenshot ) where there is blue tint. This doesn't happen for example in Articfox.

Has anyone else seen this, and maybe know if there is a solution?
Thanks.

I believe The color thing is an endianness issue.

That said, I'd stay away from nouveau in general, it's all kinds of broken on BE/with these older cards, any opengl is bound to exhibit varying degrees of trouble - from garbled rendering in video players using opengl (e.g. nvidia: vs radeon: ) to unrecognizable polygon soup in games, like vs reference render with softpipe:
So at most nouveau is usable for driving a compositor, for everything else, one needs to fall back to GPU-unaccelerated paths.

So if you don’t use nouveau, how do you get a desktop running on geforce cards? Do you build the nv driver or what do you do? I own an iMac G5 and X does indeed not behave perfectly with nouveau.

Nothing you can do, you can't put a radeon in an imac and there is no other accelerated driver. You'll have to deal with the bugs
