Firefox Troubles

I get this error message every time i try and install a firefox add-on.
I've reinstalled Firefox a few times, restarted it, etc. but I still cant install any extensions.
Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it successfully?

What Firefox version and what Mac OS X version do you run?

Are those add-ons compatible to your Firefox version?

Follow some of the instruction for error -203 and hopefully that should sort out most your problems.

I'm running the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.2) and the latest version of firefox (3.6). I'm sure that the addons are compatible because i only seemed to have this problem recently, without updating any software

wow do i feel stupid.

thanks for that link, was much easier than i thought. It was as simple as renaming some files which must have been corrupted.

No need to feel stupid, I had the same issues with Firefox a while back
