I'm still on FF1.5 since FF2 doesn't work well on my new MBP C2D :( I've migrated to FF2.0 on my all my kid's PCs and at the office, I'm stuck with IE6 :)

Opera all the way! I got hooked on it when i was still using Windows, and right now i have it customized to exactly fit my needs. Opera got under my skin so much i even installed xGestures so i can have mouse gestures everywhere! :D

Firefox 2 - I've been using it for ages and it works for me. The extensions are very useful.

I tried Camino and Safari, but I never liked they way they handle tabbed browsing. Of them, I preferred Camino.

I'd like to see someone who's really into Opera use it and observe the magic. I downloaded it when free licenses were being given away... I just couldn't stand it at all. But clearly it has a huge impact on some people.

Heh, its a matter of getting used to it. Trough the years of usage, Opera practically became an extension of myself on the internet. Whatever i need i can customize and all that without meddling with various extensions.

EDIT: Now that i think of it, there is one thing i wish i could have on Opera that i currently dont have, and thats tab expose like Shiira has.

I used Opera for a few days. It loaded some message boards all messed up so I ditched it. Currently using BonEcho 2.0.... but I'm always open to testing/using other browsers

BonEcho is a pre-release milestone (alpha) of Firefox 2, right? Are you still using an alpha version?

Yeah I believe it's alpha 1...... it's optimized for Intel processors. I'm redownloading Opera now and I'm gonna relook it. Any other suggestions on browsers? I think I've tried them all though.

bonecho is code name, not necessarily alpha version, there is a new bonecho build everyday, his bonecho, which is opted for mac, is same build as firefox 2.0 version, its stable final version, not alpha in any aspect.

It was alpha and beta but there are new nightly releases of 2.0.0.1 in progress and there are so-called optimised versions, which I would imagine would be the final product.

Opera renders pages messed up only if the pages aren't coded properly, which i must say are present on the internet. Most do render properly, and if i remember correctly from my Windows days, Opera automatically downloads scripts to correct misrendered pages. I dont know if ths feature is present in the Mac version, however.

I use Firefox 2, just because I like the way that if I click a link etc. it opens it in a new tab, rather than a new window. Is there anyway to make camino or safari do this? Ive looked but don't see anything!

Firefox does occasionally crash on me though which is a bit annoying, but apart from that it seems to be working pretty well.

both latest branch or trunk build of camino has that single window mode option in preference menu.
for trunk (less stable) ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/camino/nightly/latest-trunk/
for branch (more stable, future camino 1.1) ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/camino/nightly/latest-1.1-M1.8/
for safari, u need to buy a product called "saft" to do it.

Ah great, I'm having a look at them now. I've always preferred the look of camino out of all the browsers, but havn't liked the tabbing, many thanks.

My Two Cents

On the Mac platform Safari all the way, I have Camino installed on the rare chance that Gecko makes a better job of rendering pages. No Bugfox 2.0 is coming near my machine.

On the PC platform I.E. 7 all the way

Firefox 2.0 and OnSpeed ON WORKEY:( and My interacive Photoshop tutorials with embedded AVI's NEVER WORKEY

BTW would love to see a modern Trident based Browser on the Mac Platform.

Finally all those who rave about Ad Block on the PC , Ad muncher does a miles better job of it and works on every dam browser you have installed
