Firefox's "tabMinWidth" in Safari?

as is now, with the window size i have, i can only have 9 tabs without it scrolling off. in firefox, i can set tabMinWidth to 10 or whatever from the default and have 40+ in one window... any way to do this with safari 3?

I'm sure you've looked in Safari preferences and have not found a setting for that. So, if it's possible, it ain't easy.

Don't know, but my theory is that add-ons add up to trouble. Use a search engine if no one here knows of one.

sorry for necropost, but the sluggishness of firefox is just killing me, but i can't deal with safari's inability to compress a decent number of tabs. anyone figure out the answer to this in the last few months?
