I can't turn my 10.4.1 firewall on. I have no other firewall software on the computer. I am at work and we have a firewall, but with 10.3 I was always able to turn in on.

erm.. this may be stating the obvious but you have that preference panel locked. you're gonna have to click on the lock and enter the admin password before you can change the firewall status..

Search for the firewall preference/settings file(s) and delete them, then try it again and see if it works

Do you have Virtual PC running? If you do, you cannot change firewall settings until you at least turn off virtual pc... its magic network foo ties deep into the os network stack...

let me know if it is still not working..
