in order to be able to use the printer, connected to my pc with windows xp pro, I have to disable the firewall on my macbook air first.

the question is: how do I set my os x firewall, in order to be able to print ??
normally I have my firewall working and all incoming connections will be blocked.
this is not completely true, als I can use internet, I get DHCP, etc.etc.
so, "almost" all connections are blocked, including the communication for printing.
when I remove the mark "block all incoming connections", there is a list of software. that can connunicate normally.
in this list, I should add the printing-communication-software.
but where do I find this ??
